Congratulations on the purchase of your DEFENDoor® retractable security door purchase.
Your invoice will record the Warranty supplied by DEFENDoor® on purchase. This warranty is subject to the conditions stated herein with respect to maintenance as well as what is stated in our Terms & Conditions. The guarantee is limited to defective installation or faulty workmanship and the repair or replacement of non-conforming or defective materials or components.
All rights under the Consumer Protection Act of 2008 apply to this warrant (applicable in RSA only).
NOTES ON GUARANTEE
The guarantee stipulated on your product purchase remains the property of the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
If any repair or replacement has taken place under warranty, the warranty term will remain from the original date of purchase and shall not exceed that period.
WARRANTY TERMS
Any retractable security doors installed in homes with a close proximity to the sea need to have been hot dipped galvanised and powder coated and correctly maintained for the rust guarantee to stand
We highly encourage any installations to take place within your home for added protection;
If the products are installed outside, weekly cleaning/wipe down of all gates is required;
Warranty is invalid should any defects arise from fair wear and tear, wilful damage caused due to negligence, tampering, abnormal working conditions, or failure to follow working, maintenance/cleaning instructions;
Warranty becomes invalid should any damage occur due to installation, alterations, or repairs carried out by persons not affiliated with DEFENDoor®;
Warranty becomes invalid should damage occur to electronic locks or motors due to a power failure/surge or lightning;
The warranty becomes invalid should any electrical or lock mechanisms be damaged by water.
CARE/CLEANING/MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES
For all regions
Dilute dishwashing liquid with warm soapy water (1 cap to 1lt of warm water), and use a soft cloth to wipe down the whole unit;
Avoid excess water around locking mechanisms;
Do not use abrasive cleaners or detergents as this could adversely affect the life of the product;
Dry the unit with a soft cotton cloth or chamois.
