A louvre security shutter is an aluminium shutter with blades that tilt, fitted across a window or doorway so the opening can be secured without being closed off. Tilt the blades to control how much light and privacy you get, and lock the shutter to turn it into a barrier, reinforced with 100mm hardened steel rods and held by a hidden tamper-proof lock.
The tilting blade is what makes a louvre shutter its own thing. The same shutter gives you an open window on a summer afternoon, privacy from the street in the evening, and a locked barrier overnight, all from one unit. The blades move independently of the lock, so you set light and air at whatever angle you want while the shutter stays secured.
The security is in the parts you cannot see. The blades are reinforced with 100mm hardened steel rods on both sides of the shutter. The lock is hidden and flush-fitting, with a double internal latch, and one key locks and unlocks the whole shutter.
